KBA-Metronic GmbH

The company METRONIC was founded in 1972 and is located in southern region of Germany. Since then, the range of products has grown continuously. In 2004 Metronic became a subsidiary of Koenig & Bauer and is known today as, KBA-METRONIC – one of the leading companies in the field of manufacturing printing and coding systems.

More than 300 employees are involved in the process of manufacturing and globally supplying a broad variety of hot stamping units, ink jet printers, thermal transfer printers, laser coding systems, offline sleeve feeders and card personalisation systems.

In 2006, as a strategic restructure, KBA-Metronic decided that rather than operating a direct sales office in the USA, Austria and the UK, they would have distributors. Following this decision, KBA-Metronic transferred the exclusive rights for the UK and Ireland coding and marking business to PRINTSAFE LTD.

With the relocation of several highly trained staff from Metronic UK, and over 25 years experience in the Coding and Marking sector, the transfer from directly owned subsidiary to exclusive distributor as PrintSafe Ltd has been a huge success.
