Offline Sleeve Feeders
The KBA-Metronic range of UDA sleeve feeders are suitable for cartons, folded boxes, bags, single sheets and all kinds of material using a stack-to-stack feeding process.
The sleeve feeding range is so flexible they can be integrated with a variety of printing and marking systems, including inkjet, foil, laser and thermal transfer printers as well as labelling units and Vision Systems for print and barcode verification.
The new udaFORMAXX includes multilingual software and state of the art touch screen as standard.

How it works
The printing system chosen is integrated on to the sleeve feeder. The product to be fed is placed in to a stack and then individually transported using a drive belt system through the feeder. As the product moves across the feeder, the attached printer applies the required code. The printed product is than stacked on to the opposite side of the feeder.
Depending on the type of printer chosen, this process can be intermittent (where the product is moved in to position, stopped, then the print is applied) or continuous (when the product is moving as the print is applied).
The UDA 150 S is controlled by an adjustable photo-electronic sensor that determines where the print is to be placed on the product, and at what speed. Dependent on the amount print required and size of the product to be marked, the UDA 150 S runs at speeds of up to 250 prints per minute.
