Overview

The udaFORMAXX semi-automatic sleeve and carton feeder offers high-speed and accurate coding or labelling. It is typically used in applications where a variable data code is required on flat-form packaging. We can supply the udaFORMAXX feeder with your choice of coding technology for printing date codes, batch codes, barcodes, 2D codes and even more detailed production information.With the addition of a label applicator, you can use this turnkey system for high-speed coding and labelling in the same operation.

The udaFORMAXX is available in two models, offering a choice of feeding mechanisms:

Conveyor-Feed

The udaFORMAXX ‘c’ detailed on this page, uses a ‘sticky-belt’ conveyor to move sleeves, cartons, blister cards and other flat-form packs underneath a print head. This central feeding mechanism means that there is no unprintable area, making it extremely flexible for different pack shapes and sizes.

Continuous Feed

Unlike the udaFORMAXX ‘i’, the ‘c’ model does not have an intermittent mode so is not suitable for hot foil coding. The udaFORMAXX ‘c’ is most frequently specified with thermal inkjet or inkjet printers. It can also be fitted with a label applicator or print and apply labeller.

Only One Operator Needed

The udaFORMAXX is simple to use. One operator can comfortable load and remove packs while the machine is running. The finely adjustable in-feed makes it very easy to change between packs with minimal disruption. You can choose between a standard outfeed or shingling conveyor for even higher throughput.

High-Quality Design and Build

The udaFORMAXX is manufactured in Germany by coding equipment specialist, KBA-Metronic. It is the successor to the KBA-Metronic UDA-150 S, the ‘original’ sleeve feeder. KBA-Metronic has taken the original sleeve feeder principle and honed it in this new generation machine that offers significant speed and flexibility benefits.
