udaFORMAXX 'c' Sleeve and Carton Feeder

Overview

The udaFORMAXX C carton feeder is an off-line system designed for semi-automatic printing of date, batch, lot and bar codes on cartons, sleeves and other packs for food, pharmaceutical, medical and industrial manufacturers.

Operators load the flat-form packs into the in-feed hopper. The feeder separates these and delivers them to the printer or labeller. Sensors trigger the integrated printer or labeller for accurate positioning on each pack. The continuous belt delivers the coded or labelled packs to the out-feed for collection.

The modular design means that you can additional printers, inspection systems and label applicators (up to a maximum of 4 devices). You can also add a reject station in combination with a vision system for print validation or verification.

The feeder will run at up to 350 packs per minute depending on type and size.

Accurate Positioning

The machine separates packs from a hopper and holds them in position on a ‘sticky’ belt. The print or label is triggered by a sensor which ensures that the message is applied in the same location on every pack.

Adjusts for Different Sizes

Operators can adjust the in-feed hopper very easily to accommodate different pack sizes. This means you can code or label more than one product type on the same machine. You can use the machine for packs between 64-368mm wide and 45-430mm long.

Flexibility

The udaFORMAXX model ‘C’ can be used as a simple date or batch printing machine, with your choice of printer. Or you can add additional functionality with integration of the following devices:

Label applicator for applying pre-printed or print and apply labels
Camera inspection system for code checking
Reject station and vision system for full code and verification system (e.g. for serialisation or UDI printing)
Additional printers for extra flexibility
Shingling conveyor for handling high-volumes
