New Sustainable Packaging Material for alphaJET Printers

Koenig & Bauer Coding has introduced new packaging material for alphaJET continuous inkjet printers.

Secure packaging is vital for making sure our inkjet printers arrive at their destination scratch and damage free. alphaJETs are packaged in a robust wooden crate. Up until now, the white foam padding inside the crate was PE foam, made from 100% new plastic. Koenig & Bauer has replaced this with an alternative made from 80% reclaimed material and only 20% new material.

This represents a saving of up to 70% CO2 with no compromise in security during transportation. The new packaging material was also tested to ensure that no small particles can break off and get stuck in the printer.
